Integration
We live in a world of duality, experiencing extremes and everything in between. Within ourselves, we also experience this duality. We may even find ourselves having a preference for one aspect over the other, pushing down or denying that which we would rather not see. This is often referred to as our shadow side. Yet when you contemplate what is lost when we deny or hide any aspect of ourselves, you begin to see the folly in this approach.
Of course we have ideals. We have been raised and programmed by a society with certain preferences and ideals. We categorize things as good or bad, and try to align ourselves with a vision that we have of ourselves as either good or bad. We leave pieces behind in the process because they don’t fit in. You were given negative feedback as a child and it went deep into your psyche. You no longer feel comfortable expressing that side of yourself.
Eventually you come to a point in your life where you feel fractured, incomplete. Maybe you have attained everything you thought you wanted, yet you still feel an emptiness, a lack. This is a natural aspect of human development. It is part of our astrological map, the cycles of time that are destined from the moment of our birth. When you reach this point in your life, you experience a lot of chaos, or you may consciously work through some very challenging topics in your life. As you begin to emerge from the ruble of the past, you find a new you. This new you is not completely different from the old you, but it is a wiser you, a more integrated you.
The Ring of Integration unites infinitely that which appears separate or opposite. By integrating all the pieces or aspects of ourselves, we come closer to wholeness and mastery. Integration is love. Lovingly accepting and nurturing all aspects of ourselves brings peace, joy, power, exhilaration. You have access to more of you the more you are integrated. It means acceptance, fully and unconditionally as you are, as things are. It is being whole.
